We went camping in the Mojave Desert and we were able to use our mini laptop to watch dvd's and my boyfriend was able to get some work done too! This kit is made with high quality material and folds up into a nice square. We were even able to charge the included batter to use our laptop after the sun went down... I sure glad we didn't get lost but at least with this we could power our cell phones and call for help. I just bought another one to put in our earthquake kit! It's a pain to always moderate my usage due to a poor battery life. This was probably one of the best investments I've made that gets used numerous times each week. It's very portable (not all big and bulky and I like how the solar panels fold easily) it fits right into my tote bag. It's really good quality and I've never had any issues with it. Even with the excessive usage, it still works just as well as now as it did when purchased. I've also used it to run my laptop at night when not near an outlet plug.
