I have had this charger for a year now which is really about six months of use considering the short Michigan boating season. What I particularly like is the state of charge information provided by the red/green lights for each of the three outputs as the charger is returning the batteries to full charge after we hook up to shore power having been out on the water for several hours. The three output, 30 Amp, Guest charger that came with the boat lasted 22 years. If this one lasts only half that long it will be well worth the very attractive price for this unit from Amazon. This charger is very easy to install. The unit seems well built and was virtually identical to the one that was original equipment on my 2003 boat. That one lasted 8 years and was in continuous use. There are many chargers on the market that are more complex but I like the simplicity of design of Marinco's chargers. The new unit has been in nearly a month and is working as it should. I chose to install in-line 15 amp fuses on both the pos (+) and neg (-) output leads and also upgraded the ring terminals. I also installed nylon spacers on the mounting screws between the unit and the mounting surface to enhance airflow around the unit. There is no external heat-sink or cooling fan on this unit.

Charger arrived sooner than expected. Charger was well packaged and just what I wanted. Two days later a second charger arrived from Apex. I was not charged for the second charger they had just sent me two by mistake. After a couple of calls and E-Mails back and forth to Emma at Apex she sent me a UPS shipping label and I was able to return the second charger. This cost me nothing and Emma was very helpful in making this return. I now have use this charger twice and so far it has been GREAT. Thanks Amazon and thanks Apex. JRR
