Ok, I have a type "A" personailty and I reserched the heck out of several monitors. I have been shopping around for the "perfect" monitor for months buying and returning until I have found what I want. (My son is 6 months old) I have tried several brands/types of video monitors such as Sony, Summer Infant monitors, and a Costco brand that can be used via the internet and Iphone/Ipad2. This Motorola monitor is the BEST that I have found. Money was not an issue for me as I wanted a video/audio monitor that just worked well. I do recommend spending a little more and buying the 3.5 inch monitor.
Ok, what to say that has not been covered in other positive posts.....The resolution at night is awesome as I can see my baby breathing. (VERY important) I can see everything in great detail. We've been using this monitor now for nearly 4 weeks. I looked at many different monitors but was impressed both by the fact that Motorola makes the device (a leader in wireless communication technology) and by the strong night light functionality. The 3.5 inch screen version was not then available on Amazon so we decided to buy this version. The only difference between the two is $50, a slightly larger screen and the ability to zoom in from the remote. The bigger screen would be nice but we've found the 2.8 inch to be more than adequate. Like us, I think most people just want to have a quick look to see what their child is doing generally, and don't need to zoom in to just see their face for example.

This monitor is amazing. Over the last 3 and a half years I have bought and returned probably 5 monitors. We ended up with a Summer monitor for the first 2.5 years, then it finally broke and replaced it with a Summer Bestview. The only problem is that model (bought in January 2011) is discontinued and with a second baby on the way we need a second camera which is no longer available. I have been researching for weeks now, reading every review on Amazon and other sites and decided to order the Motorola MBP36.
When I wrote this review a few weeks ago, a second monitor was not available anywhere. Although they are not available on Amazon yet (as of 9/1/2011), they are available online at other major baby stores where you "buy" stuff for babies (hint hint). I just ordered one today, which now makes this the perfect monitor.

Wow, this folding solar panel kit is amazing! We went camping in the Mojave Desert and we were able to use our mini laptop to watch dvd's and my boyfriend was able to get some work done too! This kit is made with high quality material and folds up into a nice square. We were even able to charge the included batter to use our laptop after the sun went down... I sure glad we didn't get lost but at least with this we could power our cell phones and call for help. I just bought another one to put in our earthquake kit! I highly recommend this product.

I've gone through quite a few different brands of solar panels, and even specific laptop solar panels that were supposed to give a long charge. This portable folding solar panel kit was by far the best value and easily exceeded anything I've used before. You can take it just about anywhere and it stores without any issues. The charge is incredibly impressive for the size and durability is top notch. On top of all else, it comes with a bundle of very useful accessories, including jumper cables--my wife loves that this was included. If you're tired of spending big bucks on batteries (or portable battery chargers that don't have a good endurance to support laptops, phones, etc.) then this is the way to go.

Great solar panel that actually works like it is supposed to. Technical specs I liked: battery is re-chargeable; many other brands do not offer this and you end up spending a bundle on batteries alone, it is a folding solar panel; therefore you aren't stuck wasting a bunch of space and can easily bring it with you on boating excursions, camping, or even for leisure activities such as a day in the park. I also like that it charges under sunlight rapidly (it doesn't take as long as many other brands to achieve what is needed to properly run electronics. It's a really great solar laptop charger. ) I have even used it to charge an e-reader while camping and it worked great (and on top of that, it also works for smaller tasks such as running a fan; great relief in the summer while outdoors. I bought this because I was sick of changing between grinding wheels/cutting discs and Sanding pads for finishing, so another grinder was needed. I thought I'd try something cordless as I'm sick of being tied to cords and air lines. So far I'm fairly impressed.
If you've never used a cordless grinder (as I hadn't), you'll be amazed at the freedom this thing offers. I'm so used to towing cords and air lines, that for that fact alone it's worth five stars. I find my self just using this one, and changing discs anyway as it's just so damn convenient.
It's of reasonable quality for the price paid. I have to admit that I was going cheap on this one, as I don't really need it, and didn't see it getting much use. You can buy a brand name, which I'm sure will be far superior, but you're paying about 30% more just for the bare tool, then you need a battery.

But the battery life sucks so if you're looking to do extensive work with it buy an extra battery. Other than that the carrying bag is useful and the 3 generic cutting discs are a great start to whatever project you may be tackling. 4 stars would have been 5 had it not been for such a poor battery life

Works fine, build quality is poor, but at least the components are heavy-duty. This noisy, frightening monster of a tool actually cuts through some heavy-duty steel. While it's probably not suited to regular industry use, it worked fine the one time I used it.
